Îïèñàíèå: Designed by Argentinian inventor Ra'ul Pateras Pescara, this is one of a series of coaxial helicopters flown and tested between 1921 and 1931. Powered by a 180hp Hispano-Suiza 8, it first flew in 1923 and was the first model to include similar controls to those of modern helicopters, as well as an autorotation ability. It was reported as destroyed during the devastating May 1990 fire at the museum’s Dugny storage facility, but the badly damaged remains were later rebuilt and is now takes pride of place in the museum’s Helicopters Hall (Hall 9) Mus'ee de l'air et de l'espace. Le Bourget Airport, Paris, France. 12th July 2022
