Îïèñàíèå: c/n 01 France’s attempt at a swing-wing fighter, the G8 was originally designed as the G4 nuclear strike fighter. The two-seat G8-01 first flew on 8th May 1971, with the single-seat G8-02 flying on 13th July 1972. It reached Mach 2.2 but funding was not forthcoming and the G8-01 last flew on 18th June 1973. It was later donated to the National collection and was delivered to Le Bourget by road. Since 1979 it has been on display in the fascinating Prototypes Hall (Hall 7) at the Mus'ee de l'air et de l'espace. Le Bourget Airport, Paris, France. 12th July 2022
