Îïèñàíèå: c/n 03 Designed in secret during occupation, the Triton was France’s first indigenous jet aircraft and took to the air in November 1946. The two initial prototypes used a Junkers-Jumo 004-B2 but proved to be severely underpowered. The remaining three were powered by a Rolls-Royce Nene, license-built by Hispano-Suiza. Despite being c/n 03, this sole remaining example was the last to be completed and first flew on 4th April 1950. Its second and only other flight was on the 3rd May that year and it was later donated to the National collection. Restored by Ancient Wings, it is on display in the fascinating Prototypes Hall (Hall 7) at the Mus'ee de l'air et de l'espace. Le Bourget Airport, Paris, France. 12th July 2022
