Îïèñàíèå: These rear fuselage remains are from the Yak-9 being flown by Captain Paul de Forges of the Normandie-Niemen regiment when he went missing during a dogfight with Fw190s to the south-east of Smolensk on 31st August 1943. In 1999 these remains were recovered from a swamp, where the rest of the airframe still remains buried. They are on display in the Normandie-Niemen Hall (Hall 12) at the Mus'ee de l'air et de l'espace. Le Bourget Airport, Paris, France. 12th July 2022
