Описание: Eucalyptus platyphylla - White gum, or Poplar gum. in Cooktown Distinctive large ovate leavers and smooth cream colour bark endemic to Queensland, occurring in the savannah woodlands and open forest areas of the coastal strip of eastern Queensland from the Torres Strait region at the tip of Cape York Peninsula, south through the drier western parts of the Atherton Tablelands extending as far as Charters Towers area. Apparently it is deciduous during the hotter drier months prior to the wet season, unusual to eucalypts.
