The current church building is the fourth on the location in the “Medieval Town” of Chopenhagen. The 1st building was ready for business ca. March, 1200. Totally destroyed by fire in 1314 and rebuild as new. The second building was totally destroyed in 1728 during the Great Copenhagen fire, and the third building was inaugerated in 1738. In 1807 the third building was destroyed by the Royal British Navy when they terror bombed the city for three days, and aimed the rockets at the tower of Our Lady. The fourth and current building was ready in 1829, and it’s still standing. In other news: In 1449 it replaced the Cathedral of Roskilde as the main Cathedral in The Kingdom of Denmark. On 3rd Christmas Day 1530 a mob of Lutheran extremists sacked the interiour of the (still) Catholic Church. In 1536 the Church was reinagurated as Evangelic-Lutheran.
