Sitting in a caf'e or a restaurant, you are partly paying - in effect - for a brief timeshare in chairs and table. Possibly with a modest bowl of flowers. Usually with access to a toilet. Hopefully as well, helpful friendly staff. If you are really lucky (or well-informed) you may enjoy floor to head-height window views. Which include some sunshine; umbrellas and wooden tables; and a calm glistening river. Perhaps with an occasional glimpse of a small boat or a ferry; and trees in the distance. View through a large window across the Great Ouse River. It was 17:33. Much of the large room appears to be in shadow. My camera was "fooled" by the shot taken into the light from the River. Even so I liked the effect. Bands of sunlight across the comfortable chairs and heavy wooden table.
