фото: It's a clue

Описание: 17 January 2018. Chesnut Road Tottenham London N17. The central section of Chesnut Road is pedestrianised. There are barrier gates at both ends. (Please scroll down to see the roadway coloured grey in the plan below.) Before the new Protheroe House was built by the One Housing Group, there were railings and bollards which prevented access to vehicles at the western end. They can be seen in a Google Street View photo from 2012. Also in a detail below. When the old Protheroe House was demolished and an impressive new building went up, the railings and bollards were removed. Perhaps because they were functional and not in keeping with the stylish new building? Or simply because the architects didn't think drivers would go over the kerb? It appears that at least a few vehicles are now (January 2018) accessing the pedestrian/cycling section. How? By driving over the pavement. Tyre tracks in the photo on 17 January 2018 are "the clue". This is potentially dangerous since people walking or cycling here will not expect cars etc driven on the pathway. I reported this to Haringey Council using the free Fix My Street website.
