Описание: On 23 October 2017 Haringey Council permanently closed the local Reuse and Recycling Centre in Park View Road. Does this and other photos of dumped waste taken by Martin Ball on 29 October suggest even the hint of a whisper of a causal link? Absolutely not! I would never suggest such a logical fallacy as post hoc ergo propter hoc. ("Since event Y followed event X, event Y must have been caused by event X.") The venerable and highly relevant Latin phrases here are: argumentum ad crumenam - rich people are right. And argumentum ad verecundiam - experts know best. The first means that because Haringey Council is a rich powerful body with great resources (our money) it is almost certain that the new waste and recycling arrangements are "savings", not "cuts". And superior in every respect to the old ways of doing things. The second means that since Haringey Council website, the Dear Leader, cabinet, the Chief Whip, and many more important obsequious lackies all repeat this, therefore it must be true.
