Описание: 867 and 869 are a pair of early 18th Century houses in High Road Tottenham N17. Over the years I've lived in Tottenham these appear to have steadily deteriorated. Elected local councils have powers and responsibilities for conservation. Freedom of Information Request On 26 May 2017 I made a Freedom of Information request to Haringey Borough Council. I sent it using What Do They Know. This is a free website run by the organisation "My Society". This means the request and any information provided is publicly available and can be searched, downloaded and retained. Information requested: Action taken to improve listed buildings 867 & 869 High Rd N17. The building at 867 & 869 High Road, Tottenham, London N17 appears to be listed as Grade II under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as amended for its special architectural or historic interest. This is a distinctive and attractive old building, described in the listing as follows: 1. 4415 HIGH ROAD N17 (West Side) Tottenham ------------- Nos 867 & 869 TQ 3391 7/129 22.7.49. Grade: II 2. Early C18 with alterations. 3 storeys and basement plinth. 5 windows each. High pitched roofs, that of No 867 renewed in corrugated asbestos, that of No 869 in Welsh slate. Brawn brick with red brick dressings, including bands at 1st and 2nd floors, and at cornice level; and segmental window arches. Stone coped parapet partly renewed in stock brick. Early-mid c19 sash windows, some with glazing bars. Early C19 doors, that of No 867 with patterned fanlight, reeded pilasters with lion masks and hood on carved corbels, that of No 869 with plain rectangular fanlight. Listing NGR: TQ3386791633 National Grid Reference: TQ 33867 91633". Over the years I've noticed what appears to be a derioration in the state of this building. Can you please supply me with the following information. 1. Latest up-to-date reports on the state of the building for both 867 & 869. 2. Information on the steps taken by Haringey Council to (a) prevent further deterioration and (b) to restore the buildings. 3. Information on efforts made by Haringey Council to secure funding to carry out such works. 4. Information on the efforts by Haringey Council to encourage the building's owner or owners to safeguard and/or improve the building. Thanks for your help. __________________________________ § Source for information above: Listing on Historic England website. § Google Street View over time. July 2008. November 2009. July 2012.
