фото: Flooded Underpass - Park View Road to Tottenham Marshes

Описание: Many thanks to RozhBar for letting people know about this. I'm told that Tottenham Hale ward councillor Lorna Reith also reported this flooding. The two photos on this page were taken on 4 June 2017 at 6:10 pm by Martin Ball. He said the floodwater stank of sewage. The flooded pedestrian/cycle subway links Park View Road and Clendish Marsh in the Lee Valley Regional Park. The subway runs under the main railway line between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport / Cambridge. There's also a footbridge here. But it's broken and closed. There have been other problems with this access route to Tottenham Marshes and the River Lee. What passes for leadership on Haringey Council call this sort of shambles "regeneration". Past and Present Flooding Over the past few years, I haven't seen flooding when we walked here. Although in 2012-13 this was a serious problem. It also got bad in 2010. But this latest flooding appears far worse. Possible sewage contamination would be a health risk. Given that this happens at least every couple of years, there need to be signs at either end of the subway giving a phone number for people to contact Haringey Council. Which could apply to urgent problems such as flooding and broken lighting. (Though with so-called "channel-shift" - inhuman by default - forced on local councils by successive Governments, that's sometimes a frustrating experience.)
