For more information please click this link to the museum's website. ____________________________________ § After visiting this British Library exhibition I came across a video of a fascinating talk by Professor Griselda Pollock. "After Feminism" was broadcast by © The Institute of Art and Ideas (IAI) in 2014 at the annual festival in Hay on Wye. "How the Light Gets in". [N.B. Prof Pollock's talk includes some strong language.] I've added it as a link here because of one of the interesting comments she makes about the suffragette movement. "The vote is what people think women campaigned for. But the suffragettes did something infinitely more exciting. And I want to give you this thought because it was such a revelation. They didn't struggle for equality. [...] They struggled for the right to revolt. ... They introduced the right to say: 'We will not let this world be as it is'."
