Описание: 21 August 2016. Walking in London our friend Larry and I came across a Lebanese Restaurant that was new to me, and we stopped for a snack. Comptoir Libanais at 65 Wigmore Street is one of a successful chain. Their website tells you: "it's food that’s affordable and easy to know – healthy, light and you can enjoy it every day of the week. Comptoir Libanais means ‘Lebanese counter’ and that’s exactly what it is: somewhere you can eat casually, with no fuss." My photo above looks at one feature which intrigued me - the souk (market stall) idea. Selling ingredients for cooking Lebanese cuisine that may not be easy to find. Such as pomegranate molasses, sumac, harissa paste, and fig jam. Plus Turkish Delight, rose water, pistachio and halva. They also sell silver tea pots, hand-woven bags, tunics and Lebanese cookery books. More details here. It seemed to me that there are other cuisines which might want to experiment with similar goods for sale. _______________________________________ § Here's their website. § You can also find 100 + photos on Flickr. § Google Street View lets you make a virtual visit.
