Описание: A5 in this area had been closed at least till the morning previous day (Saturday) due to heavy snow and four broken-down cars. As a result, we found there had been apparently no one venturing to this area since the last massive snowfall (Friday night), despite we made a fairly late start, which meant we had to break the trail on fresh soft snow straight after the Ogwen carpark! The following party took the lead after three-quarters way up, nevertheless it was a hard work. It took 2:15 to reach Clogwyn Du. The temperature has been well below freezing throughout this day. Turf was frozen solid, and the route was in good condition. But we were running out of time after P2 (obviously having spent a long time in approach did not help), and retreated back down. This shot was taken before setting off to walk down.
