Описание: `e`e¶ / (Part of) Thin Tea (called Usucha). In the (formal) tea ceremony, a bowl of thick tea, which is shared by all the guests, is served in the first part. Then a bowl of thin tea is served for each person one by one. In this photo, the first guest (called Shokyaku, meaning the main guest; ae-lba®c) has already drunk his (you can see the black bowl in front of him). Now the second guest (called Jikyaku, meaning the next or second guest; ae¬!a®c) is drinking hers. The host is preparing the bowl for the third guest, who is talking to the helper (called Hanto; aae±) to the right. A few pieces of sweets are seen in front of the third guest on a piece of paper (Kaishi; aec'). Formerly those sweets served in this Thin-Tea part are dried confectionary made of 100% pure and very delicate sugar, and so are they here. She would eat them before her bowl is served. Note that although we are loosely following the format of the formal tea ceremony, the setup is far from the formal ^a it is the living/dining/office room in the home of the host couple. After the tea ceremony, the table is restored (no chair required), and the dinner party followed.
