My stomach so rarely encounters good luck during my travels that I will put in a short plug for the pastry shop that served me in Tolosa: Aramendia, on Korreo Kalea, a block east. I finally learned what 'agur' means here (So long! See ya!), not because anyone had kept it a secret but because I finally got around to asking the Aramendia server for a definition, after hearing the word repeatedly while in Euskal Herria. Expect endless kilometers of spectacular greenery in the Basque Country, but be forewarned: it rains occasionally here, as it also occasionally snows in December in Moscow.
