Many regard a tour through the Nasrid Palaces as the highpoint of an Alhambra trip. You can't just waltz in here. I bought my Alhambra ticket online the day before at: tickets.alhambra-patronato.es/entradas-alhambra-general/ and was given a list of available time slots for a Palaces visit. I suggest finding the line at least a quarter-hour in advance, abandoning all hopes of entering earlier or later, and girding thineself for a stroll among many fellow tourists.
