Описание: As photographed from the Puente de Piedra, which deserves a shot of its own that it won't get in this quickie Flickr set. Bas'ilica at left, Ebro river in the foreground, and some helpful photo models at lower right. Zaragoza is Spain's fifth largest city, capital of the Aragon autonomous community and practically smack dab in the middle of the AVE high-speed rail route linking Madrid and Barcelona. I judge it as neglected by the TripAdvisor crowd, see little reason that a backpacking traveler can't get off the AVE at Zaragoza-Delicias, visit the Aljafer'ia, Bas'ilica other Zaragoza sites, then climb on a later train to complete a Madrid or Barcelona journey. (Traveling with more than a backpack? You'll have to research hourly rate storage for your gear at the station. "Luggage storage" is listed under 'services' at www.renfe-sncf.com/rw-en/services/stations/Pages/zaragoza... but that's all I know.) About a mile and a half from Zaragoza-Delicias. Free admission to the splendors inside the Bas'ilica, but I spotted the 'no cameras' sign, left my Nikon in the bag.
