фото: Daly City bound BART in San Francisco

Описание: A BART train passes the Outer Mission, about halfway between the Balboa Park and Daly City stations. I'm tempted to misrepresent these evergreens to out-of-towners as the outskirts of a lushly verdurous urban forest, but might as well come clean: they're part of the lushly verdurous landscaping of the southbound 280. BART hugs the freeway from Glen Park to Colma. I used to live around here**, and first coveted this shot on a mid-summer stroll across the pedestrian bridge that links the city's Outer Mission and Oceanside neighborhoods. In late '14 I finally hauled my camera out to investigate, after a morning with the F cars seen elsewhere in this photostream. The bridge sports a formidable chain link barrier, but I reckoned I could sneak in a photo angle between the links. Fellow photographers eager to try for a keeper here will find the bridge next to the San Jose/Farallones stop on the M Line. Or, they can climb up from the entrance on Alemany, next to the Cayuga Playground. I felt plenty safe during my daytime strolls on the south side, but reports at inglesidepolicestation.blogspot.com indicated that others haven't always been so lucky. I'd avoid advertising that expensive camera, and pay attention if someone follows you onto the footbridge, which is likely to be deserted otherwise. ** 'Live around here' = See that refrigerator carton behind the fifth pillar?
