The river delta is large, extending about 35 km north to south. It includes coastal beaches and dunes, mudflats, salt flats, mangroves, and freshwater marshes. The mouth of the river is near Belon'i Tsiribihina, where it empties into the Mozambique channel. The Menabe Antimena protected area covers the south bank of the lower Tsiribihina along with the delta and mangroves. The Tsiribihina Delta is designated a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention, (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsiribihina_River) El delta del Tsiribihina se extiende unos 35 km de norte a sur. Incluye playas y dunas costeras, marismas, salinas, manglares y pantanos de agua dulce. La desembocadura del r'io est'a cerca de Belon'i Tsiribihina, donde desagua en el canal de Mozambique. El 'area protegida de Menabe Antimena ocupa la orilla sur junto con el delta y los manglares. El Delta del Tsiribihina est'a incluido en los humedales de importancia internacional de la Convenci'on Ramsar.
