: Today is : Tomb-Sweeping Day, the first day of the fifth month on the lunar calendar. I'm far away from our family tombs, so I made offerings this morning at this little shrine on the Consulate grounds. In addition to what is visible here, I also left M&M's and a cold Sapporo beer!
