Îïèñàíèå: “Trinity” - a sculptural composition in Yaroslavl. Located in the city center, near Strelka. Artist - N. Mukhin, sculptor I. B. Treivus, architect - A. Bobovich. “Trinity” is a bold attempt, on the one hand, to sculpturally interpret the great work of Andrei Rublev, and on the other, to find a modern artistic solution. This is the only sculptural image of the Holy Trinity in Russia. Initially, the composition aroused the rejection of part of the Yaroslavl public, but subsequently to this day the place where the sculptural composition “Trinity” is installed has become popular and visited by tourists and residents of the city. The opening of the monument took place with the blessing of Patriarch Alexy II, and then Archbishop Micah consecrated the sculpture. The sculptural composition “Trinity” was established in honor of the millennium of the spread of Christianity in Russia along with the foundations of the Assumption Cathedral destroyed in the 1930s. The sculpture "Trinity" became one of the symbols of the city of Yaroslavl and served as the beginning of the construction of the new Assumption Cathedral, which was built and consecrated in 2010 to the millennium of the city of Yaroslavl.
