Описание: The kerambit originated among the Minangbau people in the western part of the island of Sumatra (Indonesia). The first mentions of the cerambit date back to the 11th century. The prototype of the kerambit is a rice sickle. Kerambit knives have influenced the evolution of the whole family of knives. This was reflected not only in the borrowing of their design elements, but in the appearance of completely new types of knives. First of all, it was due to the advantages that the presence of the ring on the handle of the knife. Nowadays this design element can also be found on many knives with classic types of blade for domestic or tactical use.
