Описание: Aneurin Bevan (1897– 1960) was a Welsh Labour Party politician, noted for tenure as Minister of Health in Clement Attlee's government in which he spearheaded the creation of the British National Health Service. Bevan is widely regarded as one of the most influential left-wing politicians in British history. On the 5th July 1948, Bevan's National Health Service Act 1946 came into force. On the day, Bevan attended a ceremony at the Park Hospital, Trafford (now Trafford General), at which he symbolically received the keys to the hospital. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aneurin_Bevan 5th July 2023 marks 75 years of the National Health Service. Treating over a million people a day in England, the NHS touches all of our lives. When it was founded in 1948, the NHS was the first universal health system to be available to all, free at the point of delivery. Today, nine in 10 people agree that healthcare should be free of charge, more than four in five agree that care should be available to everyone, and that the NHS makes them most proud to be British. www.england.nhs.uk/nhsbirthday/about-the-nhs-birthday/ A GP’s prescription for the NHS at 75: Margaret McCartney is a GP partner, academic, broadcaster and writer on.ft.com/43fnLI2 Public domain portrait from Wikimedia Commons w.wiki/6yKT
